Natural gas in the Roanoke Valley is provided by Roanoke Gas Company. Roanoke Gas Company was organized in 1883, one year after Roanoke became a city, and was founded by a number of key leaders of their time. Today, the company provides natural gas service to the City of Roanoke, including all key business and industrial centers within the city.
